Chief Wade is an accomplished fire service professional with more than 25 years of experience in the field. Currently serving as the Fire Chief for Carroll County Fire Rescue, Chief Wade has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills throughout his career.
Chief Wade began his journey in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter with Haralson County Fire Department in 1999. Over the years, he progressed through the ranks, serving as a Lieutenant, responsible for the training division and fire investigations. In 2001, he joined the City of Carrollton Fire Department and obtained the rank of Engineer. He assisted with many areas of training, investigations, and public education within the department. In 2021, Chief Wade joined the Carroll County Fire Rescue as the Deputy Chief of Operations. Chief Wade was appointed Fire Chief July 1, 2025. In each role, Deputy Chief Wade has been committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community he serves.
Chief Wade is a dedicated and skilled fire service professional who is committed to ongoing professional development. He has completed numerous training programs and courses throughout his career, and holds several certifications, including Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Associate of Science in Fire Science, trained to the level of Fire Officer 4, and Paramedic. Deputy Chief Wade is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Georgia Firefighters Association, Georgia Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Arson Investigators, and the Georgia Fire Investigators Association.
